Las Vegas has been my home for most of my life. I was raised here, I went to school here, I met and married my husband here, and my children are all native-born Nevadans. I’ve seen Las Vegas grow from the small town that I experienced as a child in the Fifties, into the thriving metropolis we have today. My husband Greg and I met at a high school football game at our alma mater, Las Vegas High School. That chance meeting was the start of our life’s journey together. We're blessed with three wonderful children: Katherine here in Las Vegas, and Michael and Kent who both live in Southern California. We also have two beautiful grandchildren, Joshua and Danielle. I was a stay-at-home Mom for many years. Then I attended Pierce College in Woodland Hills, California majoring in Computer Science. After college, I held a series of increasingly responsible positions in the information technology field. I managed large staffs of computer professionals for major corporations. Over the past decade, my focus has turned to my community. Here are some of my proudest accomplishments:
From my early work as a volunteer at Child Haven and Opportunity Village, to later helping elementary kids learn to read, to today helping underprivileged kids become tomorrow’s leaders, I have a proven record of helping children. As someone with ten years of experience in a large master homeowners association, I understand the problems and pitfalls of HOAs and what needs to be done to improve the lives of the people who live in them. Armed with these life experiences, I’m ready to make a difference in Carson City. Thank you for your consideration,
Donna Toussaint
